It gets boring after a while because there is no intuition involved whatsoever.
You just do the same thing over and over again.

Techincally the cubes are all useless!  So are all the puzzles.

But...  they're not boring.  They're great fun.  The problem with rubik's magic is that the fun has less of a shelf-life due to the fact that the solve isn't intuative at all.  It's just a repeated pattern.

And I never said that it was useless, I just said that unless you're good enough to break world records, they get kinda boring after about a month.
