they probably want to just keep the sticker tradition alive. some company came out with tiled ones once.

back about paint, how about the dye for plastic? isnt there dye that will go into the plastic and actually become the color? i think maybe at the auto parts store for the interior of you car

I think you mean vynal dye, like for the interior of cars or for the vynal roofs. But it might workon plastic. I don't think it would hurt the surface since vynal and plastic are almost the same thing.  The cost of paint seems to be the biggest inhibitor. But if you need it for other things then that shouldn't be a problem. Or have people send you their cubes and you could charge a fee for painting them.
