Cube Alarm Clock

Postby Maru » Tue Jan 27, 2009 5:53 am

Hi there, anybody who is reading this!

I had this idea a couple days ago... why not make an alarm clock that needs a certain amount of random spins to set it, and when it goes off, the only way to shut it up is to solve it! That way, you're awake by the time it's quiet...Unless your Yu Nakajami (world record holder guy-thingy), who could probably do it without thinking.

Also, some beeping suggestions: (Just use one or two, please, Rubik's)

Voice recording

Solve me! Solve me!

Beep. Beep. Beep. Beepbeep.Beepbeep.Beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep.Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. (long beep keeps going)

Twist, twist, twisty! Haha! Yaay!

And, last but not least (for people who need more of a kick):

Get your butt outta bed! I'm scrambled, you ugle freak! Solve me, NOW!

Sorry, meant to get back to you sooner.

No, that's not even close to what I mean. That just twists the top. I'm talkin' white center is the screen, and each color center is a differnet button (time, date, off, on , ect.) and you set it by scrambling it, then solving it to make it shut the [naughty word] up. ^_^

Now, this next idea is probably too much, so if anyone from Rubik's is reading this, it's just an idea![:D]

But it would be cool if they managed a 4x4x4 cube where you need to assemble the screen as well as the rest of the cube.

Oh, and if anyone is wondering how the mechanics would work, a solved cube would complete a circut to shut off the alarm. There would be wires inside the cublets, and when all the correct wires touched, the circut would cut off sound and activate screen settings.
