It's quite simple. Gaming Lagoon sells advertising space. Companies pay GL for every person who meets their terms. These might be as simple as completing a survey or viewing the products they want you to look at, or as complex as signing up for a loan or joining a bingo site.
The more they want you to commit, the more they pay GL for you signing up, the more points you get from GL.
I stick to free offers, rather than those than need a cellphone or credit card. I get less points, but no financial commitment.
GL take the points you earn and offer free stuff that they buy in bulk and can give you without too much expense. For cubes, they offer Eastsheen 2x2s, 4x4s and 5x5s, and Rubiks 3x3s. I have so far had 2 of the 4x4s, 2 of the 5x5s and a 3x3.
There are other Lagoon sites run by the same company that sell different things. Cube lagoon sells the same things as GL, but doesn't offer everything they do and the cubes cost more (3x3s cost 10 points instead of 7.2 on GL).
Please take off topic discussion off this forum. Thanks.
