I have a 2x2 3x3 and 4x4

I play 2x2 the least. I solve it slower than 3x3.

I play 3x3 the most. Avg 50sec

4x4: avg 6mins

I m using this method to solve 4x4:

Form centre piece of top n bottom

Form centre piece for 4 other faces

Pair all the edges

Solve it as a scrambled 3x3 with beginer method for 3x3

Solve parity

Can you tell me how to get lube 2x2 and 4x4?

What can i do to get fast at 4x4?

Is there any better and faster method for 4x4?

thx

Ah... yes. The best questions ever!

Well, lube the 4x4 with silicone spray...

i dont have a 2x2 so sorry... i dont know :p

A better method... maybe reduction? reduction is a method where you reduce the steps on edge pairing.

or cage... i dont know what that one is but people still use it!

Hope it helped

Lubing 2x2x2 - Find the corner piece that has a hole in it and spray the silicone into it. I've never taken a 2x2x2 apart, but I'd imagine it'd be difficult.

For an eastsheen 2x2, just spray jigaloo into the center of the cube and work it in. If you have rubik's 2x2, just throw it away, you will never get fast with it. Same deal with the 4x4 for lubrication. I recommend a mefferts 4x4 at mefferts.com it is by far the best 4x4 i have used. For the 4x4 you are using dan browns method... BAD!, What i do is solve the centers like normal, but to pair up the edges, use this video to teach you. after that, solve the 4x4 using fredrich method for the 3x3 part, and once you get to parity, solve it like you normally would. this is a good tutorial for solving it.

Not gonna lie... I have NO idea what that's supposed to mean...what he's doing is reduction lol...he's just doing a version of it taught by a person who never intended to be a speedcuber..

sagrsccr, u stupid. speed cubers use reduction.

Reduce the steps on edge pairing? wat the heck is that supposed to mean? I'm not stupid. I know very well what reduction is. Reduction is NOT where you reduce the steps on edge pairing as I still have no idea what that sentence is trying to tell me. Reduction IS where you reduce a scrambled 4x4 cube to a scrambled 3x3...That is reduction. It isn't 'where you reduce the steps on edge pairing.' FYI... I average around 1:25 currently with Reduction so I know what it is. However I am still having trouble understanding what that sentence is supposed to mean.

Lets all get along. my fault my fault my fault.

Still, reduction is fast.

What i mean by reducing the step on edge pairing is pairing 4 edges into two pairs at the same time.

or 6 or more...

Thanks for clarifying. I'm not asking you to take the blame lol. I just didn't understand what you were saying. Thanks. Yes reduction is fast. Hence the World Record being set by a person using this method. K4 can also be fast if someone can get good at it.
