Learning to speed solve

Hi there, i learnt how to play rubik's cube 3x3 last year and already quite familiar with it, so i decided to learn speedcubing, but i just don know where to start.
i join this forum mainly is to learn how to improve my cubing timing...i was hoping u all pros here can tell me or guide me through how to start off the speedcubing turtorial as a beginner.

Yeah here's a good website to learn speedcubing http://www.howtosolvearubixcube.blogspot.com/   Basically you need to learn f2l then oll's and pll's. I hope this website will help you.

hey Breezeonhold, thx for da info helped me a lot...now i'm really getting started learning...

but btw, wat brand's cube i suitable for speedcubing? cause i am currently this Rubik's 3x3 cube which is nt very smooth, kinda hard to turn it around.... and the author speaks bout a DIY cube wats dat?
