Yes what are the differences? Mine is type D but the edge piece come out quite easily, thinking of changing. I heard people mention type A, C, F etc are good. What are the differences? Got guides?

Every letter (A-F) is just a name givin to a DIY cube so that you can tell what brand of cube it is. Every letter of DIY's have their own, unique characterisitics. For example, some DIY's may have really rounded pieces, or some may have ridges on them.

This is my opinion:

A: Very smooth, but is not the fastest to turn and it pops a lot. Corner cutting is very nice.

B: Not good for speedcubing, but the cubies have been used to make some nice hybrids.

C: Very fast and pretty smooth. Corner cutting is quite nice, but it locks up and pops sometimes.

D: Quite nice, doesn't pop and is very crispy. Has some bad lock-ups.

E: Doesn't cut corners and locks-up a bit, but it is very fast to turn.

F: Fast, smooth, cuts corners, doesn't pop too often, the only downside is that it deteriorates easily.
