why is it that i use the f2l and still my average is 45 sec.everyone in this site tell they solve the cube in 40 sec using beg method wat is the secret

It seems that i have the same problem but i think that we have to do still a lot of pratice ..... I've strat solving my cube with f2l since 3 weeks ago and you have to believe that in 3 week i arrived at 45 sec of average ..... my personal tip is to understand some algorithms that you use , not just brutally to use them....because in my opinion in this way your brain automatically will memorize better the situation for another time......
so don't give up and keep cubing (at least 3 h a day)....

Ill tell you, they put patrol-em jelly in them and then turn it really really really FAST!!!

...until your cube internals rot and the thing falls apart.  Never use vasseline / petroleum jelly.  Always lube with silicone spray.  Vasseline does work,  but unless you've got money to burn replacing cubes, I would never use it.

practice practice practice,,,, ,speed cubing methods, and diy cube boom you will get a 20 second average in no time

if you put in petroleum jelly in they will be fast at first but hair will get in it and ruin it ,,,,, FOREVER

Hair too, but the petroleum melts the plastic. thats the true problem, and the petroleum gets thick when its cold o_O
