## Let's get Sub-20 !

Discussion about methods, times, and all things related to solving the Rubik's brand products.

### Let's get Sub-20 !

no, not sub 20!, that would be sub 20*19*...*1 (math thing)
I hope this guide can somewhat help

1:30+
practice a heck lot everyday
1:00-1:30
learn fingertricks
practice lookahead, basically look for a piece while solving another one, so there're no pauses in between
50-1:00
learn intuitive f2l

40-50
learn 4-look Last layer, which is 2-look OLL and 2-look PLL

30-40
learn full PLL, you might want to get a DIY

20-30
learn some f2l tricks

15-20 (this gets you to 2nd round in competition in toronto XD)
learn full OLL and a lot more tricks

10-15 (this gets you to finals)
practice, learn some OLL or PLL skip tricks

sub-10 (this makes you autowin)
you're too fast, but still practice, don't want to be 2nd instead of 1st ^_~

truth is, all along the road you have to practice looking ahead
if you have something to add then do so
lol, here to help ^_~

then it's probably a lookahead/recognition issue. try not to pause and go slower if you need to. Truth is that should get you to sub-15. (I also have a lookahead problem)
also, do you use fingertricks?

My record is 35 seconds! You just have to PRACTICE!!!!!! I suggest memorizing the fridrich method or the "ultimate method"

Practice and dedication are the main things. Age isn't a factor.
I recommend starting out with Layer by layer and then move on to another method like Fridrich or Petrus. Or you can start with Roux and go to sub-10 using it (I use Fridrich method)

To be honest, 2 looks are really not essential, I skipped them and went straight to full. It gives less algorithms than Full look, but with practice, 2 Looks can be faster than beginner method.

Full looks have more algorithms but after learning them, you just focus on the "tricks" like F2L tricks, finger-tricks, look-a-heads, and more intense practicing.

Learning 2 look then full look will interfere with practicing (well for me). Practicing, then stop to learn, practice new algs, practice, learn, practice, then time for FULL looks, learn practice, practice, learn, practice, and on, I'd rather get the "steps" down, like memorizing. Then slowly work your way faster by practicing. You would stop a bit to remind yourself of algs, then keep on memorizing.

At least that's my method.
