4x4 1st layer corners flipped. How to fix?

Postby dancaer69 » Wed May 22, 2013 9:17 pm

As the title says, this happens to me quite often. After finnish the white side cross and trying to solve the corners, so to solve the white side, the corner pieces are flipped and cannot to put them on right position and orientation with:
Ri Di R D
no matter how many times I try it.
How can I fix them?

If it's the last layer you're talking about (4 corners left) then you're either doing it wrong or the cube is in an unsolvable state and in that case you'll need to take it apart.
lol, here to help ^_~

No, I mean when trying to solve the white layer, aftey the 4 centers and edges solved and before trying to fix the yello cross.

Centers Colors were black(white) - yellow, blue-green, red-orange and with black top and green face, red and orange were flipped. I mean orange was right of green instead of red(which is on picture, if I understand well). Does this matter? I thought that just need to be opposite as I discribed above.

Yes it does matter. Just flip the red and orange centers and try again.

I thought that just need to be red/orange, white/yellow, green/blue opposite.
Thanks, when I corrected them the problem solved. I've managed to solve the cube 2-3 times, but only until this stage(and sometimes the next one) I can go without help.
