top cross problem is giving me a problem

Postby blavo » Tue Jan 19, 2010 2:27 pm

I am not able to solve the top cross because the pattern does not match the upper L or the three across the middle. The pattern is the middle and one of the side pieces is up. I'm trying to apply the ' F R U Ri Ui Fi' procedure, but it doesn't create the top cross. How do I get it to work?

So did you resticker your cube or just pull it apart?

Centre plus one edge means you have an edge flipped over.  Use that alg until you get 3 solved, then rotate the top layer until it is between turns (45 degree rotation) and pop out the offending edge.  Flip it and snap it back into place.

I did recently pull out a cube to lube it. I didn't realize it could be flipped? Thanks

If you took off the stickers the heres how it should be: White opposite of Yellow,,,,Orangge opposite of Red,,,,Green opposite of blue if you took out the pieces then no. Take off all the pieces ( only if you took out the pieces) except for middle ones duh, and then put them back in right.
