Postby televisionczar » Tue Jan 26, 2010 1:04 am

avg centers 40 seconds. best time: 2 minutes 20 seconds. avg. around 2:35. by end of edge paring closing toward the 2 minute mark. I need help with edge paring the most. then final solve. and I've pretty much matered centers.
single/avgof5 2x2: 4.23/6.69 3x3: 13.98/18.35 4x4: 1:18.97/1:29.54 5x5:2:07.69/2:24.92 6x6 4:25.96/DNF 7x7 6:18.65/DNF

It is more than just practice. If one guy spent 40 hours a week practicing beginner's method on a 3x3x3 for a year straight, and another guy only spent like 5 hours a week learning Fridrich for say 6 months, the second guy would have a much faster time, regardless of the fact that the other guy practiced 16 times as long as him.

what I need to learn is the method that pros use. I know they do reduction and I do reduction. but I don't know HOW they do reduction.
centers I make 1x2 block, 1x2 block, 1x2 block, 1x3 block.
edges I make 1x3 and do a little of look aheads though I still get over 1 minute on that.
final solve I do fridrich and usually get around 35 or 40 seconds on that.
