I have a cube with different middle parts and i cant figure out the algorithm :P

Postby soulfly666 » Tue Apr 06, 2010 10:09 am

I numbered my rubics cube and the middle 5s started to move... i can put it together easyly but the fives are allways wrong.. i got it once but i cant remember how :D So does anyone have any ideas or algorithms to offer me? heres a pic of it too :) as you can see on the pic some of the fives are correct and some are wrong :P

It is solved exactly like a picture cube. Type in 'solution to picture cube' on Youtube or try Heiowges channel on youtube. Then you should be able to solve it.

I have never done a picture cube or a sudoku cube. How does the last center get all crazy.

It happens on all 3x3s. On a normal 3x3 rubik's cube this would not matter as if the middles moved around it would still show the same colour. but on picture cubes you have to align the centre pieces with the edge piece otherwise part of the picture (in this case the 5) would be facing the wrong way.

In short...     It happens with all cubes, just you only notice it with a picture cube.
