Help TO BE A SPEED CUBER please help!

Postby Tehcuberbeast » Thu Mar 17, 2011 9:20 pm

Hello my name is Kirk and im working on practicing Friedrich f2l but its added 30 seconds to my normal average. I know that i need to keep practicing, but any tips on better methods or speed cubing? I really want to eventually get to be down to 10 seconds, and i know that will be a ton of practice!
I need all the tips i can get! :D

If you just started using F2L, I think it's best to start by using intuitive F2L instead of all 41 of the algorithms. Not using algorithms can allow you to understand how F2L works. It can also let you use empty slots in ways you wouldn't the other way. This video by badmephisto starts to go over intuitive F2L (there's another part). If you choose to watch them, make sure you watch the examples in the second video because he goes over important stuff there.

As for practicing F2L, here's another video by badmephisto. This one is kind of long too. In it, he goes over things like keeping a steady speed and trying to avoid cube rotations.

Hope this helps!
