9x9x9 isn't that big.  I don't know what I would consider too big, but it would definately be something larger than an 11x11x11, which is supposedly the biggest stable cube the new Verdes design could support.

Once you can solve the 4x4 you can solve pretty much any cube larger than it with some practice.

Perhaps the way you solve 4x4x4s that is true. The way I do them, you need to learn at least one more algorithm in order to do the larger cubes. And it is also extremely helpful to learn some effective method to do the final two centers you are solving as well in order to do the 6x6x6 and bigger.

Well, bath of you are right. Actually really the only step is the last two centers inner edges, which are FAIRLY intuitive especially is you understand your cube (as in, can sort of work out how the algs work).

Well I average sub 1:35 on the 4x4, sub 3 on the 5x5 now, sub 7 on the 6x6... the only real problem is recognition for people. I need to improve lookahead and i can become decent lol.

I was a little surprised a few weeks ago when I went on the v-cube site and saw they were no longer selling the black cubes. It would be very nice if the 8x8x8 came out in Novemeber. Hopefully the 9x9x9 will come out then as well, I mean, it should, I imagine it is easier to produce than the 8x8x8, being that it has a fixed center.

Dear Cubers
If you plan to purchase in the near future, the cube from Constantinos Verdes (V-cube) you need to know that the cube that you buy, is not Greek production, but the product is fully assembled in a small Albanian town, redeemed slave hard work. People work almost for free, for a man of bad reputation.
Product is formed per cents, while Constantinos sells them at the normal price. If you want to stuff pocket of an exploiter who has nothing for the people and treat them worse than crap is your thing.
But take heed to the Chinese product is much cheaper and most importantly, much better.
The cubes are functioning smoothly, not falling apart, and most importantly do not contain toxic substances that are used in the production of Constantinos
(adhesive substance for gluing and lubrication). The decision is up to you in the end, it is your money.
