### 5x5x5 Professors Rubik's Cube

I got one of these yesturday (22nd Aug) for my birthday...

It seems impossible although I have been able to solve two layers by myself...

Don't know where to go from there without losing the rest...

I would kindly like for any advice or recommendations for sites with solves using the terminology I am familiar with eg (front face = F, top face is U etc)

It looks like a really good challenge!

Thanks very much...

You can't go straight into LBL method with a 5x5. You have to solve all of the centers and then solve the tredge peices(triple-edge peices).

After that, you can solve it like a 3x3, until you get to parity.

Part 2

Part 3

Part 4

If you still need help, tell me.

i first played with a 5x5x5 at school when a kid brought his
i had to make up my own solution for it and in an hour i had it solved
i was so proud of myself ^-^
but then i bought my own and just learned the 3x3x3 reduction method

actually you can also solve the corners first the the edges then the centers. just goes to prove there are more ways to do something than just one. okay.

### Re: 5x5x5 Professors Rubik's Cube

Thanks very much to all of you guys for all of your help.

I have been off the grid for a while trying to solve it so I have not seen your ideas till now.

So thankyou very much but I decided to try and take the opportunity of this 5x5x5 cube to try and solve without help or solve methods...

And I was able to do it eventually!!!

I tried various different methods that I came up with myself just practising using the knowledge that I learnt from the 3x3x3 and 4x4x4 cubes.

I tried solving like a 3x3x3 layer by layer method and that did not work and so I thought of solving it like I do with a 4x4x4...

After a while of trying I thought that I would not be able to do it but rather than giving up I stuck at it and had a break through.

After solving the centres I tried the edges, it took a while but eventually I was able to get those as well... I then solved it like a 3x3x3... It took me 2 days...

I am now better at it and can now do it in just under 20 minutes... I am really impressed, I checked the world rubik's association website and found that it slots me into probably 500th best in the world!!!

What made the solve even more satisfying was that I did it myself... basically fully intuitively just using the algorithms that I learnt from the 3x3x3 and 4x4x4 cubes.

### Re: 5x5x5 Professors Rubik's Cube

step one, solve one core (ill just call it the top side one)
2, solve the othersides core (the bottom one)
3 solve the middle cores.
4, reassemble the edges
5 place the edges
6 and finally the corners

( remained vauge about it because I thought i might let you venture this for a bit. ) if you want more detail i can provide.

i have a v-cube 5x5x5 and compared to the rubiks brand it is smoother can cut corners and is just overal better it took my time done 30 seconds if u want to chek it out go to
