I'm at an average 10 sec. but this friend of mine said he can do it in 5 sec.

3.3 seconds, but I used to do it in 2.5 ish 20 years ago.  That was the long method though.  No-one knew the quick one round here then.

Usually i'm horrible at speed solving anything but on the magic my average is around 1.8 secs and my record is 1.4 something

Oh wow! By doing the fast way my new PB is 2.10sec!!!! It's so awesome.

I got my rubiks magic last week.  Best time 2.15 seconds.  Average is about 2.6 though.
