New to cubing

Postby Glow » Tue Jan 17, 2012 9:16 pm

I learned how to solve a 3x3 2 weeks ago,
and I'm looking for a better cube.
I was wondering what good type of cube would be.

Additional info~
My pb is 1:35, average at 1:43
And I was looking at cube4you
and I heard DIY's are good,
so I found this one (Sorry, no direct links to a competitors site / products please)
and I'm wondering if its any good. (I like glow in the dark stuff (:)
Oh, and I was hoping to get a good glow in the dark one. (:

Cube4you DIY is ok, but I prefer you have a Dayan Zhanchi. I'm not sure what the more recent awesome cubes are though.

With an average above 1:00, I think that you could consider working on your fingertricks/lookahead as well.
Fingertricks: Are you using your entire hand to spin the U layer or just the easy flick of the index finger? If not the latter, then you should make it be.
Lookahead: Are you pausing for long times looking for pieces? Reduce those pauses.
lol, here to help ^_~

"Rubiks" Cube works fine, but depends on how lucky you are with your cube.

Also DaYan cube is very good for speed. There are plenty of websites to buy it.
