Advice from Enthusiasts Please!

Postby TacoriPrincess » Tue Mar 20, 2012 12:18 am

My husband's birthday is coming up and I want to get him a rad gift. He is into rubiks cubes and I'm not sure what to get him. If you had to choose from the list below which would you want and why?

- 4x4
- 5x5
- 30th Anniversary wood
- Iron Cube
or
- Build your own kit? ( And which is the best kit?)

Any advice will be appreciated!

4x4 and 5x5 cubes are fairly standard fayre.

The 30th anniversary wooden cube is fairly unique, and I've never heard of the iron cube. As for a DIY kit, there are plenty to choose from. My cube of choice it a DiYan Guhong II, but as they are made by a competitor, please do not ask me for a link. Google is your friend here. ;)

I would want a 5x5. This is because I have wanted one for a while and don't have one. (He may already have one though.)

The iron cube is simply shades from black to white instead of the regular colors.

Never heard it called that before. I think you refer to the Rubik's Icon.

this is really late, but I believe she may be referring to the Mirror Blocks.

The Mirror Blocks is a great puzzle by the way. Although it's already too late, I'd get him +1 his biggest cube though.

so if his biggest cube is a 5x5, get him a 6x6. i cube mart . com is a good site to buy gifts cuz it has bundles which are cheaper. (remove spaces)

borg it's ok to post websites right? don't ban me qq
