3x3 mirror cube impossibility?!?!?!?!?!;!;!?!?!?!?!?

Postby khfrekek » Sun Nov 25, 2012 7:12 am

I have solved the normal colored cube THOUSANDS of times and this has NEVER EVER happened to me, I didn't even think it was possible. When doing the last layer of the mirror cube, (where NORMALLY, there are only 4 states: just the middle, an L shape, a line, or a cross.) This is where is normally go on to make it a cross and so forth. But with the mirror cube, EVERY SINGLE TIME I get to this step, it is in a three-price tertiary formation (a line with one extra block on top of it)

How is this possible?!?!? This was never even physically possible with a normal cube!

I am so stumped.

Thanks for the help

It's pretty straight forward. Your puzzle has become twisted. Some of those pieces can be a little unstable when solving and can rotate. Looks like one of the edges has done just that. Just pop it out and reverse it. See my unsolvable cube guide on the solutions board for help.

I have a few mirror cubes. They all solve exactly like a 3x3 cube.
