ok letting it soak for 1, 5, and 10 minutes did nothing the adhesive is still there
ive taken all the pieces off and dipped them individually in rubbing alcohol
and tried to work out the glue. it sort of works, most of the adhesive is taken off

am i even using the right stuff?
'Isoprophyl Alcohol 50%'
thats rubbing alcohol right?
HOW am i supposed to remove the adhesive? [:(]

Try nail polish remover if that isnt working. Dont let it soak in the nail polish remover though.

hmm
well theres really no point since the earliest id be able to get some would be
like a couple days
and i could do each piece by dipping it in alcohol and vigorously rubbing it like crazy
in under 2 hours
which i guess is what ill have to do *sigh*

I used (my wife's) nail polish remover.  Be careful though.  That stuff'll melt your cube if you let it.  Use a cotton bud to apply it, not a sponge and don't soak the thing - just a little will do.  Work away from the gaps and don't press hard.

Much better than alcohol.  Have you tried lighter fluid (I accept no liability on that 1 if it causes damage tho).
