They give your personal details to third parties. And if you use fraudulent details, then you're at risk of being charged.

Having various unknown third parties know who you are, or the possibility of having a criminal record over a free cube isn't worth it in my opinion.

Look at the risks involved and decide whether it's worth it. You could just as easily get a temporary job and buy a cube.

you can get charged for entering incorrect data? And how would they know anyway?

Yes, you can.

When you sign a contract with an employer for the first time you'll soon realise this.
