Need help solving 3x3x3 cube... (please read)

Postby drummer4life101 » Wed Mar 12, 2008 8:48 am

I need help solving the 3x3x3 cube... I've tried the videos and it says that I need to install a plug-in and that it is an unkown one, so i can't (I have both firefox and internet explorer). Also whenever I try it on internet explorer, the video doesn't show up, it's just a white screen. So, if anybody could just type it all out that would help. Also I've tried the websites... I get the cross and then I get the corners and then the top layer and middle layer middle cubie don't match... so, if anyone could give me a website that has a video on it on how to solve it and it is clear, then please tell me 'cause this is getting kind of frustrating!

                                                                                                 Thanks,

drummer4life101,

Have you tried Youtube? Unless you have a really slow computer, it should go at decent speed. I didn't need to add plug-ins

Search for rubik's videos by pogobat. His vids are very, very clear.

I would also reccomend Thrawst. Not as clear, but a good teacher.

If you decide to learn a new method I would seriously consider learning Lars Petrus's method. If you learn enough methods, you can mix methods together to make a better method.

Click this link for Lars Petrus's method: Rubik's Cube Solution

Good luck and happy cubing!

that depends on what method you use, and also what stage you are on

I can't help until you tell me what step you are on and what method you use.

Good luck and happy cubing!

platock91,

I would say Vaseline is the best lubricant.

If you take out the top layer, put about half a spoonful of petroleum jelly into it.

Put every cube back in. Start mixing it and solving it again.

You may have to wipe off the excess Vaseline of the cube to prevent stickers peeling.

I did this and it moves like a dream.

Good luck and happy cubing!

aparham,

The patterns from the 7 step solution guide (the guide that comes with the cube) are taught by Dan Brown  in two videos right here:

How to solve a Rubik's Cube (Part One)
How to solve a Rubik's Cube (Part Two)

Just click the links

Good luck and happy cubing!

P.S. it's algorithm not acronym
