I cleaned out the lotion and now im using CRC 808 silocone spray and its seems like the DIY ones the show on youtube![:)]

Enything that is petroleum jelly based (vaseline, lotion,etc.) will corrode the plastic inside your cube over time. I would reccomend silicon.

I put Vaseline on my Rubik's Cube. It has been 4 months and it works perfect.

Haha when i started cubing i didnt know how much vaseline i was meant to put in it. In the end i submerged the whole thing in vaseline. everytime i turned it vaseline oozed out. I cleaned it out in the end haha.

And now...i am vaseline-wise.

my wife and i both have a cube i have been working with mine for a while and then i vasalined it. her's is fairly new and i did the same, but her's is still really stiff. Then her little brother bought one. his was alot smoother than hers out of the box. has this ever happened to anyone.
