Well I have been speedcubing for only 3 weeks and my average is around 1 minute and 45 seconds but my fastest is 1 minute and 7 seconds (I practice every day for like an hour every day my be more.)

   fenderfanatic01, OLL is for the last layer and there are 48 different outcomes. There for you would have to remember all 48 algrithims and know what algrithims to use in your specific pattern. If you are really dedicated and want to learn them all here is a good web site. http://www.hio.hen.nl/~s98134/rubik/OLL.html. And if you want to get faster switch to a different method if you are using LBL(layer by layer). Also lubricating your cube if you haven't already!!!

Just by using the classic layer by layer method, you should be able to solve it in less than 2 minutes..

Yeah easily. Byrdmann, you will be able to finish the cube in under 2 minuets soon two. In the beginning you inprove very fast. I have been doing it for around 2 months now i am around 40 seconds

Well yes the Layer by Layer method is a beginners method but with practice you can get really good. Someone on here did it in 13seconds forgot who though its in one of these threads. And it doesn't take much practice to get under 2 minuets with the Layer by Layer method.
