I'm in China right now, (my last day, too) and I expanded my puzzle collection by about 200%. You could just walk into some college store and ask for some cube, up to a 11x11. They're pretty cheap, <150 yuan (about 22 USD). MUCH cheaper than a V-Cube. Actually are V-Cube copies. I suggest you order them online, from Yong Jun toys.

I suggest you order them from v-cubes.com
there's a few reason why it's cheaper in China:
1. they're ko's
2. they're low quality and
3. the break easily.

Ok, lets settle this once and for all.

Rubiks only make cubes in 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 and 5x5 sizes.  There are cubes of other sizes available, but they are not made by Rubiks.

The Rubik's Revenge is a 4x4 - not a 9x9.

The 9x9 was designed by Verdes (makers of V-cubes), but not released so far.  Since the plans to make them are patented, they are a matter of public record.  A chinese company used them to illegally make a 9x9 and an 11x11.  I can't comment on the quality of the 9x9, but I have a friend who loves his 11x11.

Some people have had bad experience with KOs.  I own several and find some are very good.  Better quality ones include My Fisher Cube (official, but originally made by the KO people), windmill cube, axis cube, mastermorphix (both pillowed and non-pillowed), and mirror blocks.  Poorer ones include my rainbow cube and my face-turning octahedron.
Please take off topic discussion off this forum. Thanks.

It isn't cool to patent something and then take years to put it out. I am pretty sure that most people would buy V-cubes and not Chinese knock offs if the stupid V-cubes actually existed, instead of just being a pretty picture on a website of upcoming products. We have a member at our forums who has a knock off 9x9x9 and says it is a good cube. I have a knock off 11x11x11 and the quality is very good and I am very happy with it. Had Verdes actually put out his larger cubes, I would have gotten an 11x11x11 from him instead, but they didn't exist so I bought one that did exist.
