I bought two different "normal" 3x3 rubik's cubes

Postby TeaS » Sat Dec 29, 2012 11:20 pm

Hello there all!

I have bought for my boyfriend 3x3 rubik's cube and the next when I bought one for myself. Same product, same manufacturer (Rubik Studio), same type (3x3) but they are completely different, starting from colors (my boyfriend's green is much more lighter than mine, same for every other), they are different weight (not much, but u can feel it) and mine cube is much more difficult to turn than my boyfriends.

Could someone please explain why is that so, because I will repeat, they are same manufacturer and they were in completely the same case.

Thank You,

Tea

I guess Rubik's is a bit strange for providing cubes with different tensions (how hard it is to turn something). If the center caps on the cube can be taken off and there are screws underneath, then the cube can be adjusted (but I don't think Rubik's cube uses screws, rather rivets).
As for the colours...the cubes might have been made in different factories, or maybe even different assembly lines which use different green stickers.
lol, here to help ^_~
