God's Algorithm

Postby goldfishboy789 » Thu May 08, 2008 12:53 pm

I hear there is an algorithm that only takes 24-25 moves. I would like to know what the moves are so i can complete the cube much faster and find an easier way to do it. Just please tell me how to do the algorithm with the least number of turns or whatever it is. It's like 24-25 right?

God's Algorithm is the term used for the algorithm that solves each case in the shortest amount of turns.  This is not, however, One algorithm.....there are thousands of possibilities and to memorize them all and recognize the setup for each is impossible.  Hence the 'God's Algorithm' name.

i read somewhere that was needed a computer with lots of terabites to prove that the cube cn be done from every combination in 20 moves

yea but for a human to be able to do that like a machine i think is imposible because there would be over 100 000 algos..

not impossible but if anybody can do that it's because it's GOD

Because there are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000states in which the cube can be, there are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 God's algorythms!! Not humanly possible, you would not have nough of a lifetime to learn em all...

If you live 100 years old, considering you start to learn the algorythms at age 0 : You would have to learn 1 363 635 813 272 algorythms per second until you die...

This is physically impossible. https://www.rubiks.com/Home/Forum/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1375

Good stuff though
